  RTCS Induction Training

Real-Time Temperature Control System - RTCS Induction Units will have a five digit center in the serial number
such as BA06.00001.0505, opposed to a non RTCS unit with a four digit center in the serial number,
such as BA06.0001.0505.

  A. RTCS Overview - RTCS Systems have IR communication technology for repair, diagnosis, and unit set up.
When replacing the power board and/or the induction coil, you must reset the units internal parameters with the IR adapter.
The IR adapter part number is 98990001, and it comes with a Serial PC connection, if your unit does not have a
Serial connection (Click for Photo), use a USB to Serial adapter, part number 39800001. There are 2 main categories of
RTCS units, Built in and Countertop units.
          1. Built in: (Built in unit installation requires silicone sealant between the flange and the countertop. The unit should
also have an Induction Air Kit Installed.
See the unit operation/installation manual for details.)
                a. Built in Single Hob (GIU 2.5/3.5/5.0 BI)
              b. Built in WOK (GIU 3.5/5.0 WOK)
          2. Countertop Units
                a. Single Hob (GIU 1.5/1.8/2.5/3.5/5.0)
                b. WOK (GIU 3.5/5.0)
                c. Griddle Unit (GIU 5.0 GR)*
                d. Fajita Unit (GIU 3.5 FH)
                e. Multi Unit (GMIU 3.5/5.0)*
*Components are similar to Non RTCS units, there is no IR communication, and the digital control panel is
                       the interface.
